Following winter around the globe for 12 months topped off by living in the coldest house in Melbourne, I fantasise a lot about being sunburnt, the beach and wearing t-shirts. Thankfully last Sunday Melbourne's blue skies made a welcome appearance and encouraged a peddle around Ceres, bikes, coffees, tallies, chats and giggles on the bleachers at the Brunswick velodrome.

Alex, Simon and Sandra are the masterminds behind this revolutionary East London queer night, Dick And Fanny. Frustrated by gender segregation in London's gay club scene, the simple but brilliant concept was to create a night for men and woman to dance in an open minded, safe and friendly space.

With 3 memorable nights down and more to come, the impressive line up has so far included Kim Ann Foxman of Hercules and Love Affair, Dirtbox Djs, Severino, Lauren Flax and our very own Jenny Woolworth and Miss Bailey.
